Description
Vintage 1960s evening gown in silver grey heavy silk satin with large beaded medallion clusters and delicate silver beaded ‘vines’. The gown features a high neckline, empire waist (notice the unique inset bust darts), long sleeves with wide cuffs, and a gently flared A-line full length skirt. It has light padding at the shoulders and includes "dress guards" (separate patches of fabric under the arms) to protect the underarms from showing sweat.
The gown closes in the back with a cotton twill nylon coil Lightning zipper. Fully lined with soft cornflower blue silk.
Condition Note: There are a few small brown spots throughout the dress. They may be able to be removed with a specialized dry cleaning. As is, they are not noticeable.
