Description
This darling vintage 1960s cape and dress set is embroidered with pink cherry blossoms and pink, blue and yellow tulips. The cape has a detachable hood which attaches with buttons at the back and sides of the cape’s round Peter Pan collar. The collar and hem of the cape are trimmed with scalloped crocheted lace. The cape has a double-breasted front closure with white and silver tone square buttons. There are arm holes in the middle of the front seams.
The sweet matching dress features a Peter Pan collar, puffed sleeves (the elastic on the cuffs needs to be replaced), and an interesting bib overlay design where the embroidered panel floats partially on top of the dress bodice, and is tied in the back with a self-fabric bow. The dress and cape are lined with matching cream rayon trimmed with lace.
Condition Note: There is some light brown staining along the crochet hem of the cape.
